Neither sleet nor snow could keep her away...
She's back!  On November 30th, just after the two-day snow storm that hit the West Coast, Joann arrived at The Haven to lead her first Anger, Boundaries and Safety course since her heart surgery in the summer.  Her arrival with her husband Pete was a much anticipated and joyous occasion and although fatigued from the journey, she was happy to get here and to no surprise, immediately organized a meeting with the other leaders.  Her dedication to what she does is a triumph to the human spirit.  By all reports, her essence shone forth during the course and what was amazing to see was the transformation by the end of the four days. One of our beliefs here at Haven is that through connection we find healing.  Joann’s life journey continues to be a testament to this belief.  We dearly appreciate you Joann and we are so glad you are back with us.

ShenShen — Appreciation and Anticipation
For years now, this bi-annual tradition has been one of the ways of keeping us all connected.  Many Haven friends have written to us expressing their appreciation and their anticipation for the Shen and many have made personal and meaningful contributions. Our next edition of the Shen will be distributed in late January.

Did you know that Shen, our bi-annual Newsletter, is available from The Haven website?  It can be both viewed as a web page and a full print version.  Please let us know if you would rather receive an email with a web link vs. receiving a printed copy by snail mail.  Please email us at shen@haven.ca with "I want the Shen via email" as your subject line and include your full name in the email body.  Many thanks for helping us conserve!

This is a full-time position situated at our site on Gabriola Island, B.C.
