Re-New Horizons
Each year New Horizons: Phase III participants are exposed to a wide
variety of ideas, systems and thought structures that offer opportunities
to re-visit ways of viewing the world and question prejudices, fixed ideas,
and ideologies. During New Horizons The Haven becomes a hub of synergism,
fueled by the energy of engaging and curious people investigating the nature
of their own assumption system, and shaking loose from the idea that there
is one particular truth.
New
Horizons is designed to integrate the concepts and experiences encountered
as a participant in Come Alive and/or Phase I: Self Awareness and Phase
II: Self and Other. And yet each year the course takes on a new flavour
and unique direction. Why? We think it is primarily because
of two factors. One is that, as with all courses here, each gathering
is composed of a broad range of people of all ages, interests, and backgrounds
bringing their own unique perspective, styles, and issues to the fore.
The second factor is the unbridled passion Ben and Jock have for New Horizons.
They are forever exploring new ideas and engaging others in the process.
New Horizons offers them and participants a unique extended opportunity
each year to connect on a personal level in an "anything's possible" atmosphere.
Small wonder people return for part or all of New Horizons again and again!
As we mentioned last month, it is now possible to attend all Phase programs
in shorter segments. The dates for this year's New Horizons and its
shorter components look like this:
-
The complete course is July 4 to 29, and tuition is ($2250 earlybird) $2625
(meals and accommodation extra)
-
Part A is July 4 to 10, tuition is ($650 earlybird) $740 (meals and accommodation
extra)
-
Part B is July 11 to 17, tuition is ($650 earlybird) $740 (meals and accommodation
extra)
-
Part C is July 18 to 29, tuition is ($1100 earlybird) $1265 (meals and
accommodation extra)
For the sake of continuity the components must be completed in sequence.
Though it is suggested that you have participated in Phase I and II prior
to New Horizons, it is not essential. A Come Alive will have introduced
several of the concepts and models that form the basis for New Horizons.
We have made it very flexible and affordable for "New Horizons Alumni"
wishing to return for some or all of this year's course. There
are tuition discounts up to 45% if you have participated in New Horizons
in the past! There are special rates for daily, component, or
complete participation. Contact our Registrars, Morag and Renée
toll-free at 1-877 247 9238 for more information.
We invite you to take a look at your summer plans, and consider joining
Ben and Jock and expanding your New Horizons!
A Course Blend Of The New And The Familiar
There are several interesting courses coming up in the next few months,
beginning with Dr Arthur Weinfeld's remarkable "Trusting The Stone".
This is his second offering of this 5-session weekend course, find out
for yourself why several participants from the first program considered
it the hi-light of their year! And that's just one of the possibilities.
Take a look, and be in touch for more information!
Just Quickly...
He's at it again! Colour and growth is "springing" to life everywhere
at The Haven thanks to Don Mattson, our gardener extraordinaire.
We couldn't resist catching him in action and sharing some of his magic!
That's a wrap for this Update. We'll be in touch again next month
with more news and information about the courses, events and people that
are The Haven. In the meantime, visit our website
