A Winning Place At The Shows!
It is hard to know what we are more excited about, the response of
visitors to our booths and presentations at the recent Wellness and Westcoast
Women's shows, or the commitment and support of the volunteers who turned
out to help us at these events!
This was our first year at the Vancouver Wellness Show, and we
are thrilled with the result. We spoke with a constant stream of
interested individuals wanting to know more about The Haven, and
we were treated with "hello"s from many old friends attending the show.
It is truly heartening to hear from people who have been to The Haven
over the years and speak of the value in their lives years after their
course experiences. Seminar presentations by Tom Northcott
and Lyn MacBeath on The Joy of Aging;
Linda Nicholls on Women
and Stress, and Cathy and Ernie McNally on The Relationship
Dynamic were all well-attended and provided excellent opportunities to
introduce people to ideas and models included in our courses. A very
appreciative thanks to Mike Gobbi, Henry Goldbeck, Sandi Sheridan, Janice
Wright, Carolyn and John Gill, Dave Paquet and Kamaja Phaneuf
for their hours of enthusiastic contributions to the success of the show.
The Haven was front-and-centre at The Westcoast Women's Show
in Nanaimo March 8 and 9. A weekend retreat in one of our oceanfront
suites was the Grand Prize for the weekend show, and our location right
at the entrance to the exhibition ensured we were in full view of the 4,000-plus
in attendance. Again we had help in abundance as Carol Ames, Chelsea
Ruckman, Tom Woodward, Leslie Whyte, Elfi Dillon-Shaw, Gary Dillon,
and Sandey McCartney all volunteered their time to help us get ready
and answer questions and speak about The Haven throughout the weekend.
We are very pleased with the positive results from our involvement in
events like these as we continue to heighten the profile of The Haven.
The philosophy and values that are at the core of our programs is increasingly
being sought out as people everywhere are discovering the value and importance
of personal awareness, clarity and pro-activity in contributing to the
quality of our lives and environment. We are thrilled that individuals
from many beliefs can, and do, come together at The Haven and engage
in the richness of wonder, discover, agree and disagree in a world often
stifled in the stagnancy of right and wrong. Thank you to all of
you who are reading this now for your care and contributions, we are all
the better for it!

The Evolution Of Belief
It hardly seems a year since last Easter weekend's 'happening' with
Bruce
Lipton and Lee Pulos, and we are indeed just a few weeks away
from the return of
Biology Of Belief/Energy Of Belief. Those
of you that attended last year's inaugural course will likely remember
the energy and discussions that seemed to permeate every corner of The
Haven as groups gathered to speak, listen and consider the ideas springing
from these sessions. It was an exciting and engaging time, and we
are looking forward to catching up with the continuing evolution of Dr
Lipton's discoveries and suppositions.
After last years Biology/Energy of Belief, many of you asked that more
in-session discussions and question-and-answer opportunities be included
in the course format. We have responded with adding an extra day
to this year's course, to allow for review and update, as well as smaller
group discussion sessions and dialogue with the co-presenters. Jock
will be lending his inimitable facilitating style to the proceedings by
leading these interactive sessions. If you attended last year and would
like come this year for just the discussion sessions, contact the office
for schedule details.
Don't miss this opportunity to explore one of the most exciting developments
in the nature of being human. Register now for what is certain to
be a memorable and insightful look at the cutting edge integration of the
sciences of body and soul, The
Biology Of Belief/Energy Of Belief, April 18-21.
Time To Blossom
Like fresh ideas and new possibilities, spring blossoms are coming
up all over The Haven! This is a lovely time of year to be here.
Take a moment and read what's coming over the next two months. See
what piques your interest, and follow the course title to our website for

The Best Laid Plans...
We read, and re-read the Update before we send it to you, and still
...
Last month's Update included a change in the way we list our coming
courses. With the wide range and number of programs we offer month
after month, we wanted to give you an opportunity to review what is coming
up in the next few months with the intention of assisting you in considering
attending courses that may be of interest to you. It is unfortunate
and ironic, given this intention, that we omitted including Couples
in Conflict, one of our longest-running courses, in this listing. JudySellner's
sensitivity and extensive experience have established this course a chance
for couples to face the most challenging issues of their relationship head-on
in a safe and respectful setting. Contributing to the effectiveness
of this course is the counselling session each couple has with Judy, which
is an opportunity to deal with their particular issues in a private and
focused session. The next Couples
in Conflict is scheduled for April 11-13, we invite you to consider
gifting your relationship with this weekend well-spent.
In addition to this omission in the course listings, one sharp-eyed
reader caught our Phase I date error. We apparently attempted to
convince you that you could squeeze the 25 days of Phase I into the weekend
of February 27 to March 2! Rest assured there have been no concentrated
awareness miracles, and Phase I did indeed begin last Sunday, March 9,
and will end 25 days later, April 3...now if I could just find my presence
tester...
It's Snowing!
It is always an event when it snows at The Haven, and we awoke March
9 with this...
Just Quickly...
March 23 will mark the return of A String Of Girls to The Phoenix
Auditorium. Their sold-out show last September was easily the highlight
of a year of memorable concerts. If you will be anywhere near The
Haven on the 23rd, do yourself a favour and don't miss this amazing trio
of talented women!
Randy and Lisa Wong are in the midst of a Southeast Asia holiday
adventure, and if their pictures are anything like their email updates
we can hardly wait!
Our new Course

That's a wrap for this Update. We'll be in touch again next month
with more news and information about the courses, events and people that
are The Haven.
Take care, enjoy yourself, and each other, and be in touch soon.
