ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  1. Students must have a desire to learn.
  2. The student must have the ability to learn.
  3. The student must demonstrate a capacity for responsible self care, responsible self organization and sound mental health.
    • If one or more of the above criteria are questionable during the registration process, an interview is arranged with the course leader or the Programs Director/Director of Education and the student to determine the student's readiness for the course. If after the interview there is still concern about the student's abilities, confirmation in writing from the student's physician or therapist is required stating the student can meet the admission requirements.
  4. The student should have a basic understanding of English, unless attending a course offering language translation.
  5. The student's true age is 16 years or older. Students who are under 19 years are required to have their parent/guardian countersign their course registration form. Exceptions must be approved by the Programs Director/Director of Education.
  • Proof of age via photo identification may be required at time of course registration.
Further requirements for admission to the Certificate and Diploma Programs, and Level 2 Intern Training Program at The Haven Institute For Professional Training are outlined in the Syllabus.
