Ruth Emerson
Ruth Emerson MD, DipC
is a family physician from Seattle, Washington who works for a large not-for-profit health plan.
Before attending medical school she taught high school for a year in Uganda and earned her B.A. from Harvard University.
She has been associated with The Haven Institute for approximately 20 years; since graduating with a
Diploma in Counselling in 1991 she has contributed much time, skills, knowledge and energy to the development of many
programs such as "Sex and Identity" and "Relationships".
