Faculty

Jane Geesman MFA  has been a professional actress in Portland, Oregon, since 1980, appearing in numerous theatrical productions throughout the city, as well as commercials and film. In 1999, Jane was awarded a Master of Fine Arts degree in Drama, and is currently on the faculty of Portland Actors Conservatory. Since moving to California in 2002, Jane continues to act and direct, but her true passion lies in teaching. For the past several years, Jane has led numerous workshops and classes designed for adult beginning actors. She brings to these classes not only her onstage experience, but her life experience as well, not the least of which includes her years as a participant and intern at The Haven Institute. Jane has earned a reputation for creating a safe, fun, and dynamic environment for people interested in both the craft of acting and in the process of gaining confidence before an audience.
