Michele Baldwin

Michele Baldwin MSSW, PhD  Photo is a marriage and family therapist with an M.S.S.W. from the Simmons College School of Social Work (1966), and a Ph.D. from the Union Graduate School (1976). A skilled psychotherapist, she is an AAMFT approved supervisor who teaches and supervises at the Chicago Center for Family Health and the Family Institute at Northwestern University. In 2002, she became a Certified Sage-ing™ Leader of the Spiritual Eldering® Institute. Michele trained, taught and co-authored two books with Virginia Satir, Satir Step by Step in 1984 and The Use of Self in Therapy, in 1987. (Second edition in 1999). For over twelve years, together with her husband DeWitt (Bud) Baldwin M.D., she has been teaching PAIRS (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skill) in the US and overseas and she knows how to create a safe environment for experiential work with couples. She has been a PAIRS Master Teacher since 1994.
