Simply Touching
Massage For Friends And Lovers

Spend a weekend with a loved one learning basic massage techniques. Loving touch in the form of massage can help ease the aches and pains of everyday stresses and enhance relationships. You will learn the basics of effective, respectful and pleasurable touch in an atmosphere of fun and relaxation.

This workshop is for you if you:
  • are curious about massage
  • want to learn basic massage techniques
  • wish to spend a “touching” weekend with a loved one
  • desire to communicate with your hands through touch
  • wish to learn more about the structure and function of the body
Description:
Massage is an ancient form of touch that is becoming more and more recognized for its great benefits. There are many variations of massage practiced in most countries. All forms of massage affect the body in a positive way when applied with knowledge, respect and skill.

This course offers a thorough introduction to the world of massage. You will learn to give and receive a basic full body massage and learn the art of mindful presence through effective breathing, and grounding. You will learn how to touch respectfully and with clear intention.

The teaching technique used in this course makes it easy to remember and, if you attend with a friend or family member, you will recall twice as much when practicing and integrating massage in your everyday life.

Basic massage skills enable you to ease the aches and pains of your loved ones in times of stress or simply offer the pleasure of skillful loving touch!

Format:
There will be demonstration of techniques followed by 'hands on' learning. The number of participants is limited so there can be plenty of individual instruction. All materials are supplied.

Course time is divided into brief learning segments culminating with the grand finale of giving and receiving a one-hour full body massage, leaving you relaxed and refreshed.

Massage is performed on the skin by applying a medium such as oil or lotion. The recipient is covered with a sheet exposing only the part of the body being massaged. Great attention is given to this in order to respect one another's need for modesty and privacy.

Note:
This course does not qualify or entitle the participant to practice massage therapy professionally. It is designed to enhance lay people's touch communication skills for private use only.

Faculty:
