For teens from 14 to 19 who want to
- become comfortable speaking their own truth in a responsible way
- develop a stronger sense of self-esteem and self-acceptance
- be less defensive and more outgoing
- make relationships work
- deal with conflict
- have fun with and get to know other teens

Description
As a maturing person discovers effective ways to overcome unacceptable patterns a stronger sense of 'self' develops. Communicating clearly from this place of strength forms a solid foundation for improving and deepening friendships and relationships.
Format
In a safe, respectful environment you will be invited to:
- discuss topics of interest to teens (vocation, school, sex, music, violence, drugs, parents, family, authorities)
- learn about being emotionally self-supporting rather than dependent upon family and
others
- experience relating to others in ways that really work - practice listening; experience being listened to
- learn while participating in recreation with other teens
- enjoy the oceanside resort, swimming pools, hot tub, gym, games room with air
hockey/video games, karaoke, dance facilities, woods, eagles, nature, food and
music

Note
Teens will stay in resort accommodation with a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians are responsible for teens outside their session times

Course Evaluation:
A student/participant who attends a minimum of 90% of the total course sessions shall receive a "Pass" grade. A student/participant who is absent for more than 10% of the session will receive an "Incomplete" grade and credit will not be granted.
