Healing Stitches
How your art imitates your life

Content:
Healing Stitches will assist you in developing personal awareness as a means of advancing your creative work. You will examine your commitment to the creative process, confront fears and develop strategies for dealing with creative blocks. In addressing the challenging work of creating, you will gain a new awareness of your own process. As you experience the burst of self-recognition in your work, that will become a metaphor for your life.

Format:
Through the use of didactic and experiential learning, Healing Stitches provides a safe forum for personal exploration. Become familiar with your personal process through creativity and design exercises, journal writing, movement, guided imagery and release of blocked creative energy. In a supportive environment shared experiences create a context for the development of a sense of community. In turn, the sense of community leads to further growth for each group member.
