Choice Theory: - Unlocking the Mystery of Behaviour
Choice Theory offers a critical key to understanding human behaviour, ours and others! Developed by Dr. William Glaser, Choice Theory explains how everything we do, despite how it appears, is our best attempt to satisfy our needs. This down-to-earth course will look at how our five powerful genetic needs motivate all of our behaviour. We will explore the questions:
  • Are we always doing our best?
  • Is all behaviour purposeful?
  • Where does motivation come from?
  • Do we always have a choice, even with illness?

Do you sometime feel controlled or pressured by "outside world"? Sometimes it seems that way, but the truth is we are internally motivated. Parent, partner, teacher, counsellor, business person or friend, this theory will open your eyes to what really makes people tick. These principles have been used in the fields of education, health, addictions, business, mental health and corrections. This course is interactive with participants experiencing how the theory works and how it applies to all the everyday situations we find ourselves in. Participants will take away materials/activities that can be used in many situations. People around the world have said "I wish I had known this theory sooner, it makes such a difference!"
