Description:
Stress in the workplace is often triggered by the same root causes; too much work, life out of balance, lack of respect, unmet expectations and communication problems to mention a few; and we are not sure how to have an effective workplace boundary conversation to resolve them.
Whether it is something that you want, don't want, or a limit that you need to have at work, the answer is setting an effective workplace boundary. The course teaches participants to engage in constructive workplace boundary conversations. Discover that the twin enemies to effective boundary conversations are passive and aggressive disengagement (where we create a wall at work either by withdrawing or forcing what we want).
Learn to share your needs in a way that will change your experience at work from one of stress to enjoyment. Discover a model that truly helps people at any level of an organization set effective workplace boundaries without causing resistance or resentment.
Format:
This two day, 5 session course sets out and explains our personal and organizational relationship to boundaries. Using models, discussion, experiential training and a 7 step practical tool, you will gain a deeper personal understanding of your workplace needs. You will also practice using the techniques for setting effective workplace boundaries. Have the experience of remaining in contact with yourself and the other, while setting and holding clear workplace boundaries. Employing the practice of personally inhabiting your workplace boundaries, you can transform your work experience.
