"What is the meaning and purpose of my life and what values best support and sustain my human journey now?" Answering this question, no matter how tentatively, requires each of us to utilize our spiritual intelligence or SQ. Answering this question also requires us to examine whether the way we live our lives is in alignment with our authenticity. The quality of the world we create for ourselves is in direct relationship with our level of internal alignment. In other words SQ directly impacts the choices we make in our work in the world and in the lives we build whether we are conscious of it or not.
The above question is equally applicable in the outside world around us. What is the meaning and purpose of this organization and what are its values? Increasingly how people answer this question determines both who wants to work there and who wants to purchase the products or use the services that are being offered. Consequently, a number of organizations are focusing their attention on how their clients and employees answer SQ questions. Given that we all live in an increasingly globalized market economy, the potential impacts of how large organizations and institutions consider the concept of spiritual intelligence are considerable for our future and the future of our planet.
This course will offer participants an opportunity to explore the concept of spiritual intelligence from a human potential perspective and to create a map for charting their course in personal and professional life on this basis.
Format:
Through lectures, dialogue, film/discussion and exercises, course participants will work in plenary sessions and in smaller group settings to advance their understanding of Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) and the role it plays in their personal and professional lives. The course will also examine the impacts of alignment and non-alignment with SQ on the quest for a sustainable workplace and a sustainable world.
