Come Alive Intern

Prerequisite:
The interning component of the Come Alive course is only open to students in the Level II, Certificate, and Diploma programs. See the Intern Training Program Description

Description:
Internship in Come Alive is an experience-based learning opportunity, in which each intern takes on activities in accord with their own stage of development and learning goals.

Interns attend the 6 hours of didactic and experiential work each day in large group (led by the primary leaders). They assist the leaders in work with individual participants or lead structured exercises as assigned (e.g. moving meditation). They lead (with another intern or leader or assistant) a small group of 7 to 12 participants for approx. 2 to 2.5 hrs each evening and are responsible for tracking the participants of their small group. In addition they participate in the following meetings;
  • at 08:30 for 3/4 hr to plan the day
  • at 12:45 for 1 hr to practice or discuss issues and areas related to the learning goals of interns or assistants
  • at 18:45 for 3/4 hr to plan the evening small group
  • at approx 22:00 hrs for 1/2 to 3/4 hr to debrief the small group (at discretion of the leaders)
