Bleep of Faith - Courage in Chaos
|
Description:
- How do I embrace this life and live it fully?
- How do I open to possibility and accept disappointment?
- How do I take another step, and another?
|
"Faith is the felt assurance of the continuity of life" (Bennet Wong). Faith is what fuels our souls. Faith is knowing that we are okay, that the world is okay, and that our lives are, or can be, purposeful, expansive, nourishing, humorous, intelligent, soulful.
In each moment we have the gift of life offered to us. Even when we are surrounded by events and people and expectations and challenges that could seem unacceptable, insurmountable, undeserved, devastating, or even just tiresome. Join us for an exploration of that remarkable, yet simple, state of be-ing in which all is both possible and complete, beginning and finished, terrifying and joyful.

Come and explore faith with us. Live your life, with courage. Inspire yourself.
Format:
Our objective is to facilitate you getting in touch with, connecting with, or reconnecting with, a sense of faith. Through a variety of learning formats drawn from many fields and practices, you will be supported in exploring your questions, fears, objections, fantasies and theories about faith.
Over the course of the three days our intention is to:
- stimulate group discussion and debate about the concept of faith
- facilitate self-examination of your personal beliefs and how these impact your experience of the world and guide your behaviours
- provoke questioning of the origins of you beliefs and whether they continue to serve you
- offer tools, concepts and experiences which you may identify, explore and nurture your own sense of faith
This is for you if you:
- Have a strong sense of faith and wish to explore it further
- Sometimes feel lost, and yearn for a sense of faith in something
- Resist the concept of faith and yet find yourself reading this course description!
- Associate faith with religion and thus avoid both
- Crave stimulating discussion about life, meaning and purpose

Testimonials:
"Your course has inspired me to think more closely about life on earth and my role in it. I wonder at the complexities of human learning and marvel at the fact that humans can indeed think about thinking. I believe my life is a miracle and as such not one moment should be wasted. Thank you Carole and Bill for putting my life into perspective with the BIG picture."
